anyone tried Centaur archery's battle axe broadheads????

One of the guys in bear camp used them this year.  Short recovery and big holes going in and out.  I was impressed.

DO they come in four blade? and they looks simmilar to the tree sharks, but are they actually a bit wider?
MAN, those look like bad medicine for any animal they're shot at! WOW!

They fly great on my Surewood shafts, but I have not killed anything with them yet....

Hoping that someone can share some good pics and testimonials.

Received some from Jim a while back .. been shooting them and they truly fly like darts. For a head this size it's is awesome. I've used the Big Game heads to take whitetail & Elk .. going to use the Axe for Whitetail this year.

I saw the title of this thread and was hoping somebody wasn't in trouble with the wife.  :D

I've been wanting to try some myself, but haven't yet had an arrow setup for those weights. He only offers them in a glue on version. They do look very effective and durable. From what I understand, they are made from a thicker and stronger steel, and they are available in single bevel. They are similar in shape to the Simmons sharks, but they are a wider cut.

I have used the battle axe for a few seasons now. I love the big cut and how tough they are and they fly great with no noise. I have only taken this one doe with them, but it was great. Big cut and didn't go far at all.

Boswell tell me about that quiver?

Its a Ferett (Mickey Lotz) Floppy Quiver, that I made. 2 arrow design that is just made of leather. The bottom pieces is made from 2 pieces of Latigo leather that are glued together with Barge cement  and super glue. drilled 2 holes into it and made it so the arrow can snap into them. The top is one piece that attached to the bow and a whilt and cover for each broadhead. It just slips over the bow. There is just a slit cut in the leather and so the bow limb is forced through the slit.

Biggest exit hole I have every seen...didn't take a picture, but could have put my whole fist into the hole...it was crazy.

The others' comments on flight etc. are all true.  In fact, once you see the size of these, it is almost hard to believe they fly so well.  

Easy enough to sharpen, and single beveled too.

Deer and bear size and down, I would highly recommend.  I use their big game head for pigs and elk...good too.

I killed a turkey with one, and my dad has killed three p&y bucks with them (one being the biggest bodies deer i have ever seen) truly a great head! Easy to sharpen on the wheel, and touch them up with a jewel stick! And not to mention of of the best and nicest guys to deal with in the business! I'm going to be putting them on my wilderness Doug firs when I get them!

Boswell I'd be intrested in buying one (or trading for one) if you make more..   but can everyone here who has had success with these heads post up their bow and arrow weights,,,,, I sometimes have these on my arrows along with tree sharks and personally have not got a shot yet I use around 50lbs usually 570 to a 600grain hertiage flying pretty fast for a heavy arrow from a 8-strand SBD and palmer or preditor recurve.  

but I'm curious about the lower bow weights and pass thrus on deer sized animals,, also sharpness--lets go there too because I cannot get the Battle Axe heads as sharp as I'd like them even though they pass the fingernail test and pop some hair they don't really slice it right off in a single stroke!!  how sharp is everyones battle axes?

I run them on axis 400s, for arrow weight at 550 grains, out of my centaur 54# at 29" I draw to 31" so I am pushing 60# arrow speed is 195fps zero issues with flight as long as they are aligned and spin true.
