Hey everyone. well just recently I got my bow out from winter storage and have been shooting as much as possible. trying to make up for not being able to shoot in the house/ not wanting to stand out side and freeze. but I am already thinking about deer season. is that wrong of me to think so far in advance? and when do all of you start thinking and preparing for opening day?   :archer2:

Well I may be weird but I think about deer season 365 days a year!!! When I'm not thinking about deer season I'm thinking about turkey season. I shoot in the basement during the winter months ..... don't want to get rusty.

I'm thinking deer season right now.  Like Jmrsyrs said, it's an all year thing!

107 day until our urban season starts and 92 days before we can put stands up on public land. I don't think Iever stop thinking about deer season. As far as shooting goes I try to shoot every day after work. My wife says I'm obsessed! She's usually right.  :)
I love this way of life.

I always think about it. I picked a new stand location for this fall on the last day this past season. I picked another during spring gobbler season.

There are very few days I don't think about deer hunting. I shoot all year round. In fact, if there is a time when I shoot less it is during the actual deer season. I do shoot some though just to stay sharp enough.

Same here....Hope to get out and squirrel hunt some Saturday.....just to knock the edge off.

Have high hopes for this season.

only 96 days until the opener here in montana...

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I can't remember a day I didn't think about deer hunting.

Yeah, that's weird dude, you should be thinking about elk all the time like me to be normal:) Heck I even go after the harder to find Merriams Turkeys up in the mountains so I can be around elk country then too!

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

Yep.  What's winter storage?
At least once a day I think about next years buck and wonder what he's doing at that moment, which usually results in a profound respect for how tough and vigilant these creatures are.

I'm always thinking and planning deer or turkey season. Finally got out yesterday to my prime spots and put 4 cams out.

Had another stent put in my heart last wk..number 7 and gave it a test run yesterday. Also picked up and carried home a Lone Wolf Hand Climber I had stashed way back in the ridges. Gotta get new bolts, traction belts, etc.

I shoot a couple sessions every day I can yr round.

Deer? What are deer? What's that you say...smaller elk? Yep. Think about em year round, in a roundabout way. Elk are the big focus for me.
