I have a buddy who tore his shoulder and arm up in an accident last fall, and needs to drop in draw weight.  We are trying to find out his options.  He has a Black Widow LAG long bow that is 54# at 30", and is a 64" bow.  I would say it is at least a 7, and possibly an 8 on a zero to ten scale.

Does anyone out there have a sense of a fair price to ask for the bow?  I have searched the adds and do not find a comparable sale.

Thanks for any feed back.

Most religions teach that you earn salvation by keeping rules. Jesus didn't teach that "good people" go to heaven. He taught that "forgiven people" go to heaven. And He invited everyone, no matter what their past, to come to Him and be forgiven.

BOHO

what year was it built? Id say at least $600 and maybe $700

The LAG was their old style longbow model before the much improved PL come along.  BOHO is close I suppose, but my feeling is $500-600 would be tops in this current soft, used bow market.

Trying to find out the year.  Again, thanks for the help.

I was guessing a little high but you can usually get another $100 if it says Black Widow

I have seen the older Black Widow LAG go from $400 to $500.I sold a couple months ago a PLX bacote in excellent shape for $575,I would think an older LAG would go for much less in this market in my opinion.

Market seems slow right now. I have bought a PLII and a PLIII for right @ $500 each in the past 6 months. They are lefties, which might bring the price down a bit. I am saying $400-$475 for the LAG.
Good luck with the sale of the LAG. Mike

That is still very helpful.  I will send him a link to this thread, and then he can decide.  I am guessing start around $450.

Thanks again for the help.

There may be someone out there willing to pay $600, but I'd guess it would sell for around $450-550 at best in this market.  It could sell for more on the big auction site, or if sold locally, to a less-informed buyer.  The Tradgangers are usually pretty savvy, and are probably the least-likely group to pay top-dollar.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I think your best bet is to look for a trade.

Yeah, I second the trade. Would be more beneficial for your buddy. He would probably get a better deal than if he sold it.

$400-$500 for a LAG I would agree with as well and if it is a 7 out of ten, I would say closer to $400.

i saw a 2 for sale this weekend at the Howard Hill shoot. both were marked $600. IMO 600 is over priced.
