The 59 Kodiak is on my got to have list. I have shot on a little at a 3d shoot . The question I have is how is the draw weight at 28"? Is it normally right at stated weight, or a little high or low? The reason I ask is I normally shoot 50 @.28 and don't want to go any higher than 50 . But I really don't want to drop to 45 either.

For those who normally shoot low off the shelf, are you sticking with using the feather rest on these????

I normally shoot low off the shelf, and have found higher shelves or rests have me shooting about 4" high.  I kept the feather rest on mine and the adjustment has been minimal.

My bow is marked 45# and was kind of hoping for a scaled 48#, but it came in at 44#.  I would say the 59 is coming in close to marked weight or right on.

Mine is marked 50@28 but scaled 47--actually just right for me.  I am sticking with the feather rest--no adjustment issues at all.

Just in case any one is looking, I have two Rh 30lb 59's and one Lh 30 and a Lh 35 59' in stock waiting to ship.

I've been shooting off the shelf of longbows since starting in 2008 and find the feather rest on the '59 Kodiak a real nice experience.  Will not be changing it.
