I get bored shooting a simple foam block with shapes on it.  My "fun" target is a cardboard box taped to the front of a foam target with the opening of the box facing out.  I have strings hanging down into the box with various arrow-safe objects attached (foam balls, etc).  When I hit one of the objects, the arrow penetrates it and pins it to the back wall of the target box.  I find this far more gratifying than a simple paper target.

What kinds of fun targets do you all use?

In a pinch I like washed out aluminum soda cans and 20oz plastic water bottles, good squirrel sized targets to shoot at with blunts.  I recently thought about trying a large water melon maybe wrapped in something clean non-toxic like cardboard etc. to simulate a critter, simulate pass throughs, haha.  Let your imagination run wild.

Finishing up a garage door opener, modified to run continuously.  Velcro tabs on the chain and on the bottom of styrofoam fish and squirrels.  They run around in circles but pop off when hit

This is a great idea! All I have is a cardboard box stuffed with more cardboard.
There is a place for all God's creatures....right next to the potatoes and gravy.

This reminds me of the scene in the movie "Three Kings" when the guy says "Well, I don't really have a day job."     :biglaugh:

Well nothing quite that imaginative but I have an old nerf soccer ball that is really fun to kick and shoot while rolling and bouncing.

Foam balls from the craft store in different sizes. Break a toothpick in an half, one in the ball, one in the target and a piece of mono to suspend the ball. Really makes you concentrate

How about a shop vac, with a ping pong ball blowing in the exhaust, good luck !

My kids like to shoot balloons. I just toss a few in the backyard and let the breeze blow them around. Honestly, dad kinda enjoys it too!

old fashion turkey shoot place a big sheet of card board between the turkey body (nail to body w roofing nails)and spinner(to hide the heads coming up) and make sure back stop is far enuff back so arrows that miss(we all miss) will not affect the spinner, adjust speed of drill with a c  clamp or zip tie, use bungee cord to hold drill inplace
Heads will fly off when hit     :archer2:
