I would imagine that all of us have a shot that is tough to overcome. For me, it is 20 yrds. off one knee, on both knees im fine, im not sure if its psychological or not, but it just kicks my butt at times.
Whats your toughest shot?   :campfire:

Matty

3D that dang standing bear.  I miss that stupid thing or hit him in the paw ALL THE TIME!! And the leaning one I just clean miss. All the time

Dave, 8 yrds might as well be a mile when your heart is pounding, and the adrenaline is flowing!
sometimes those gimme shots are the hardest to earn!   :biglaugh:

Almost any shot with someone I don't know watching.

Put me on the list for the standing bear also. I have no problem with a leaning grizzly target or walking black bear. I have a standing black bear that I just cannot hit center mass, it is always left or right in the elbow or paw.

Gary Rieck

Same here.  Those bears tear me up.  Maybe straigharrow it's because we don't have bears in Iowa.

old_goat2

any spotted target, axis, cheetahs etc.. I usually hit that bear pictured above with a perfect line buy high every time too

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

I do poorly on almost all 3D targets that have a low, wide body shape such as lying down deer, alligator, etc. I think the brain sees the larger and more "normal looking" body rectangle represented by most deer, bear, hog targets etc. more frequently and considers them to actually be "normal". Then when it sees the odd looking, low rectangle body shapes, it freaks out a bit, thus making it harder to concentrate on a given spot.  Yeah, the standing bear presents issues, also. Don't even get me started on turkey targets.

On live targets the hardest shot is always the one I am currently trying to make. Sometimes I tend to over think, even at modest distances.

on a black bird in my buddies (stixbowdrew) back yard on our bird seed bait pile, no matter how many arrows we shoot at them, its 90% of them time "i just missed that one% but its fun concentration and who cares deer are bigger anyways.

Bear Heart

I hate the above pictured bear.  To add to the mental drama it seems to always be infront of an arrow eating jungle.

Under 10 yard shots are awful.

Steep down hill. The adjustment and or over adjustment can give me fits.

overbo

ALIVE! black bear at fading light.Nothing there to pick a spot.Just a black blob

riverrat 2

Quartering "to" 3D shots. It is very hard to get that sweet spot just behind the shoulder. I almost always hit the front skeletal structure,or go a bit to wide and gut sack the shot. rat'
