...taken with a stickbow. Don't know if this story has been posted here yet, but here's an article about a new record bull taken with with a Blacktail Bow made by Norm Johnson:

The "thanking the landowner on behalf of all bowhunters" and mention of ethics was great. We need more of that!

That was great!!  Traditional bowhunting at its finest!!

I am lucky to make 1 good shot, much less 2.  AWSOME!
Jesus died for us!  Following him brings us closer to God.  Think about it!

Impressive bull. Is it a misprint on the score, though? I know Yellowstone's record is 409...taken by Smiling Chuck...and the Roosevelt is 368.

Went back and re-read the story....its P&Y traditional category..didn't know they split them up like that...interesting.

That's a story that's not bull, but that's a bull that's quite a story!    ;)    :D   He made a great stalk and two great shots, and then he told a great story to boot.

What an amazing animal.  I can't imagine staying so calm!

Great story, sentiment, and hunter. Always nice to see an animal of that caliber taken by such a level headed and respectful hunter. Hats off to him and his father.

snag

Another great animal taken by a Blacktail Bow. That bow was built not too miles from where the bull was killed. Kind of cool. Norm must be pretty happy that his bow did the job for the guy.

Is the hunter a member here?  If he is, I admire your humility, sir, but come on and POST MORE PICS!        :notworthy:

Ethan said it.  What an influence on the general public this father and son have made with their genuin respect and thankfulness.  Thanks to them both.  Another example of the weight our words and actions carry.  God bless.

bentpole

Wow fantastic! Should be good for Norms business too.
