Paul made a comment, "that bow has some mojo."

And he is right, but just so the others don't feel neglected I thought I'd post a picture.

I have a few other longbows but these three are my "sweethearts"..  They are all 5 lam bows of tempered bamboo and brown glass. The wood is Texas ebony. The 66"er is marked 55 @ 28 and the middle 68" bow is marked 57 @ 28. The top bow is also 68" and is 61 @ 28.. I get an extra 2-3 pounds out of them due to my draw length.
These three bows have all hunted a good bit and all have seen the wonder of a successful hunt.

Beauties!  How forms that 66" handle your draw length?

Pat B.

I really like the 66" bow, it's quick, handy and throws an arrow very well.. Not quite as smooth as the 68's.

The 68" bow that's 57@28 is smoother on the draw and is my favorite..

The 61 at 28 is also a great bow but just on the edge of what I can shoot comfortably and well. After a few days of shooting it I do quite well with it but the 57 pounder I can pick up anytime and just sing !

Thanks, Pat.  I have been kicking around the idea of trying out a 66" myself and I think my drawlength is similar to yours.

Cool bows for sure. I just have never been able to get used to the feel of a straight handled hill bow like those. I KNOW form all your pig posts that you are quite comfortable with them.

Bisch, it took me a while to become accustomed to the straight grip when I transitioned from ACS type bows but now anything other than straight feels strange !!  I sure don't know that either is better, just what you are using and get used to I suppose..

I will say that it's been a long time since I've had bows that I felt so comfortable with.. Way years back I had a couple of bows that just shot like magic for me.. Maybe it was because I shot so much, lol...

Very nice indeed! I especially like your choice in grips, the deeper core grips take a bit of getting used to but once you get used to them, theres no going back to the smaller, shallower grips.

I've tried all the various grips on the Hill bows. By far my favorite is the straight grip. To me, they have abetter feel and I get on target much quicker and easier with them.
