Thoughts on finger slings?

I have been using a finger sling. An old timer taught me about it the other day. For 3D and shoots its seems it would be good. But hunting it would be a challenge to get on. It sure seems to help decrease bow torque. Any experience?

I started with a finger sling about 4 months ago. I like it. No problems using it for hunting.........yet. I had a turkey walking up to  me last week and had time to get the sling ready and made a nice shot. Hope it works this well during deer season

Why use one at all ?  Just lightly wrap with the index finger to thumb,  Doesn't even have to touch the bow.

I though about this. I considered using one but since I am a ground hunter it doesn't make any sense for me but, if I was hunting from a tree stand I would like one in case I got all excited and dropped my bow out of the stand.
