Hey all,

Is all front weight the same? For a broadhead setup - do you think I would notice a difference in flight between a 125grain broadhead w/ 50 grain brass insert and a 175 grain broadhead w/ the standard aluminum insert?

Depends on arrows... carbon vs. alum????

You can always change sideplate a touch with shims behind if the extra weight shows weak when you test them.

There is a little bit of difference but probably not enough to notice. The 50 gr insert is relatively short and close to the point,so I believe the difference would be minimal.

Somebody more knowing than me may chime in on this, but I've shot a 125 grain field tip with a 50 grain insert, and then with a 175 grain field tip with just regular insert and I can't tell any difference at all. I think I've got some like that now in my back quiver. God bless.

If the tuning is centered or slightly stiff, then I would expect no difference other than possibly a small brace ht reduction to re-center.

Would you notice the difference?  Nope.

Not so much with the 50 insert in the mix, but I see changes using 100 inserts like the difference between a 200 point and std insert vs. 100 insert and 125 head.

That depends on the bow, weight, and design. Some bows will shoot heavier arrows better. However, a 10 grain difference is noticeable for me. All Arrowsmiths (builders/crafters) will keep the weight of a set of arrows within 10 grains and some within 5 grains....   :campfire:
