Through the bedroom curtains drawn
Long before the mornings dawn
My dreams drift to the coming day
And the place I'll hunt so far away

Great Spirit take me by the hand
Lead me to that bountiful land
Where the deer and forest creatures play
In the place I'll hunt so far away

Mark my strength and bend my bow
Let loose the arrow to fall below
Guide the shaft into the fray
In the place I'll hunt so far away

Count the time until the Sun
When man and hunter become one
Hot on the trail of elusive prey
In the place I'll hunt so far away
