I just bought  Wesley Special and I also have the Big Five.I notice theres two letters and then the number.Ive seen WC, HC,and BC .What do they represent ?As for the next 2 numbers is that the length between the nocks?

I believe the first letter identifies the model (W=Wesley, B=Big 5, etc) and the second letter is for the Bowyer (C=Craig Ekin). The first two numbers are the AMO length. I think this is right, but someone should chime in if I'm wrong.

Ken nailed it. The H would be a Halfbreed, the C would indicate built by Craig Eakin, and the next two numbers are the length between nocks.

That's odd mine is 5-64046 and it is a "BIG FIVE"

The way Ken describes it is the way Craig is marking them now, but that wasn't always the system used, and there were a number of others who built some earlier bows.

I take the "5-" to be the model and, AFIK, five numbers without any letters were made by John Schulz.

A comment about some information on you site above on dating Hill bows. Tim Meigs never worked "At" Howard Hill Archery. He produced Hill bows from his own shop in Carson City, NV.
