Well gang,
I just got thru reading one of the best pieces of writing I have even taken in. It is titled "A hunter would understand" by Steve Angell in the spring issue of Stick and String.

The story involves one mans hunt (Angell) of a particular deer throughout a season long endevour that ends in a way to rival the best of literature. If you hunt you will truly understand this, and if you do not hunt it will show you a side of us hunters that is often overlooked.

My hats off to you Mr. Angell and thank you for the read.

I couldn't agree more. I've really enjoyed a lot of Steve's articles over the past couple years, but this one was truly exceptional!

Thank you Brian, really appreciate the kind words and your taking the time to start such a thread.

Steve, Nick and Thom, as always I appreciate the feedback from you guys, please continue to do so even when it might not be as easy to hear as this is. :-)

I'm not sure whether I heard or read this but pertaining to the trick about putting the socks out to "push" the deer in a certain direction, there was some story about a guy using alarm clocks set to go off at certain time intervals to send a buck his way. Anybody ever hear bout that?  :dunno:  Also, great magazine.
