Ok so is this not too stiff a spine? This is 1535 125 grain from 20 yards...  

That would be to stiff if you are a right handed shooter   . Give me a call.

I did not read any of the posts but you were getting an opposite reaction as both those shafts with the weight you were using would be stiff no doubt. I am shooting .600 spine of of a few bows that are 40-43#s at my 28.5" draw and a 29.5" .600 spine flies perfect with anywhere from 175-200 grains up front depending on the bow. Shawn

Here is another funny thing a .600 spine arrow can be stiff out of a 50# bow ecspecially a bow not cut to or past center and if a guy has it cut to 28.5"s and is shooting a 100 grain head. Remember please and I do not know why people don't get it, carbons are spined rated for compounds so why in the world do guys think they can shoot a 35/55 spine out of a 40# recurve or longbow cut to 28 or 29"s without adding a whole bunch of weight up front. There is no recurve or longbow that transfers as much energy to an arrow than a compound of the same weight does. Either leave them real long and don't add a ton of weight or cut them the length ya like and add a ton of weight. I am shooting a very efficient new bow Caribow Tuktu EX recurve. It is 54#s at 28"s(which I draw with this bow) I am shooting a .487 spine cut to 29.25"s with 190 grain up front,bareshafts hit dead nuts with fletched at 18 yards and I got a perfect hole, ever so slightly weak thru paper. I have some 1535s that were fishtailing like crazy out of my 45# osage bow, which is what I bought them for, and they were also fishtailing out of my 45# bear supermag. Both bows are 45# at 28 but I only draw 26" so they were pulling around 40#. I got the 1535s cut down to 28" and with a 150gr field point they are now shooting like darts from either bow. 5" right wing shield cut true flight feathers. I think I could get them cut down to 29" to leave a little bit more room if they should need trimmed due to damage in the future and they'll still shoot good.

Unless I'm missing something that's already been stated,why don't you just try to find out what the arrows were that the guy at the bow shoot let you try? You said those flew real good.
