Would this book be particularly helpful to those who are just beginning to shoot traditional style or is it more focused on the more accomplished shooter looking for tips to get better?

Hi Doug! others may chime in, but I would say there are no archery tips or instructions in Longbow at all. It's a book about adventure and life in the wild, from Alaska to Australia, Molokai to Mona Island, with a hefty dose of family - positives and some losses. ultimately, I hope it's about life and spirit, doing things that don't always come easy, and I just happen to be carrying a longbow throughout. :-) Now, if I can ever help with traditional archery, just e mail me at jaycampbelljd@gmail.com, and I'll be glad to pitch in.
