I just purchased an A&H ACS one-piece longbow from Redant on this site.  The bow isn't a perfect fit, at 64" and 54# @ 28".  I usually prefer a couple of inches longer and a couple of pounds lighter.  My draw is 30 1/2".

But I just shot my new bow and GOOD LORD does it fling an arrow.  I didn't see flames off the back of the feathers, but I was looking.

How fast are these bows?  I need to shoot this bow some more, but it really seems like a performer.

What do you think of A&H ACS bows?

Mine is 62", 44 lbs. They are smokers!

Shawn Leonard

They are smokers but for me anyway, very critical of a very good release to be accurate with them, very critical. Shawn

I have a 64" 67#@28", this is a very fast bow, it shot a 648 grn arrow at 187 FPS.  I'm very accurate with it if my shooting form is standard, but if I have to lean or bend it is hard to keep in the kill.

Orion

I have several I've been shooting for quite a few years.  There's not a faster hybrid. Generally quite stable and accommodates most of my shooting flaws, but is a bit sensitive to uneven vertical string torque for me. Regardless, I haven't found another bow I like better.

Big Ed

I know they are really fast. I had a 3 piece and liked it !

The Whittler

I have a 3pc and love it. They are all the hype and then some. Enjoy and have fun.

daveycrockett

One of the best. I have a couple 2 piece.

Bjorn

Adam and I have been shooting them exclusively for 7 years. A coupla' times I have bought other bows and they quickly wind up on the rack or in the classifieds for us nothing else quite compares-so far.    :archer2:

ACS & Habu are my 2 favorite longbows.  The ACS metal riser shoots the best for me, but also like my new Phenolic one.  My confidence is always boosted because if the accuracy & forgiving nature of these bows.

I have two ACS one piece bows, and they are in a class all to them selfs. I am on a hunt for the best performing bow, and my acs one piece bows are in the top three.

Can't decide between my Toelke classic whip, or my Hummingbird.

Shawn is also correct! They will challenge your form, especially your release.

The one I have in my signature line shoots a .340 carbon with a total arrow weight of 550 grains at 185 fps 2 out of 3 tests. The other was 183 fps. These are great bows, that do prefer a stiffer shafted arrow IMO. If they are underspined, the bows will be very critical as Shawn had mentioned. rat'
Make certain your exhausted when you reach them Pearly Gates.

Ground Hunter

I have an few ACS bows all great shooters.  I have one at 80#s - a rocket!

JamesKerr

I have never personally shot one but everything I have ever heard about them is possitive. My only question is can you get one built with wood veneers over the carbon on the limbs cause to me I would rather have a pretty bow (not saying carbon isn't attractive I just like wood bows) that shoots 190 fps with a 9gpp arrow than one that is black or grey that shoots 200 fps with a 9 gpp arrow.
James Kerr

Moots

80#?  I can't even imagine how fast that is!

James, you are right; the riser is pretty, but overall, my bow is not.  It's like a race-car engine hiding behind a dumpy exterior.  But if I can shoot it well (and I'm not sure I can) then I won't complain.

Bjorn

You can dress them up a little............the tips match too
