Just curios if any one uses the electric belt style work sharp sharpener for their broadheads?  Please let me know your thoughts. I stink with a stone and quite frankly don't enjoy the sharpening aspect. The tool seems like an awesome idea. It is very similar to what a local knife maker uses to make custom knives. It's just on a tiny scale. What are your thoughts?  Thks

I'm not overly good with a stone either and have tried several other types of sharpeners. Not familiar with the Work Sharp, but for quick, efficient, practical sharpening I favor my Accusharp. The price is right, too.
Hope this helps.

Depends what BH you are trying to sharpen? I am in love with the VPA 175 grain 3 blades and for them all ya need is a Jewell stick and anyone can get them sharp enough to make your eyes bleed just looking at them. Shawn

A friend of mine has a work sharp and loves it. I'm a file/strop guy myself but he can make a zwicky so sharp your afraid to handle it. If I was going to machine sharpen that's what I would get.

I shoot two blade Simmons centaurs and abowyers. I agree via is the easiest to sharpen. I can handle those but two blades are ugh so frustrating.

I ordered a work sharp to try to get my 2-blade GK heads resharpened. After I tried it, I boxed it up and sent it back. It is painstaking, but I will stick with my KME, taking my time, and getting my BH's really sharp!

Why don't you just try it? If you can shave with it afterwards, it worked OK.

Well hmm. I may give it a shot surely I can get it as sharp as file. I have Kme great product but for the patient and mythodical type. I get so frustrated and with the oil that makes a mess.   Thanks for the advice.

My buddy tried one and said he couldn't get consistent results with it.  Didn't recommend it. He's a gear guru if I ever saw one (engineer by profession and you know how those guys are   :D  ) so if says it's a no-go I take heed.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

I have one and it works great for knifes, i don't use it for broad heads because they seem to be too short to hold up against the guide that helps you set the angle.

I've got paper wheels on a grinder that make knives scary sharp.  They get a razor edge on any knife or ax head.  I haven't tried broadheads yet but I will for sure.  Even though they aren't the Work Sharp they are similar in the way they sharpen.
