Have been a woody shooter mostly for the last 50+ years.  Thought I would put together some aluminum for elk this fall.  Would like them to work with the spec below:
Bob Lee Recurve (3/16 past with thin side plate  46# at my 29" draw)
D-97 string-rug rest-split finger screw in adapter with screw in broad head (Zwickey 150-160 GR)  3 5" feathers  30" B.O.P.

Not interested in carbon at all.
I am thinking 2018?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think with your draw and bow a 2018 sounds like a great choice. With say a 150-160 gr. head that would put you in the 550-565 gr. range for arrow weight.I like a 2018,one of my favorite sizes for aluminum arrows.I would start full length and trim and tune with your weight upfront.

I think at 30"s BOP and a 160 grain head that 2018 may be a tad weak, which once you add a broadhead and feathers may stiffen if just enough. Shawn
