I get the pot ready before going to bed then when the alarm rings I turn on the fire and hit the snuzz button twice and the coffee is ready.

Sounds like a lot of us like our coffee?

When I whitetail hunt: I prefer a 12 cup Cuisinart set to 'bold', and a stoneware mug. I leave the mug on the counter when I head out the door to my treestand.

Everywhere I camp: It's gonna be Starbucks Via. I've been using it since it was introduced, and I haven't been able to better it...at least enough to be worth the additional effort. I love the ambiance of instant coffee in a steaming lexan cup...

In terms of coffee, to me its all about enjoyment - so instant coffee usually dont work for me.
For a cup or two, the ortlieb filter holder does the trick:

At my trailer in the woods a French press, but elk hunting in CO so far just Folgers baggies. Not the best, but the baggies meet the minimum stds for coffee and are handy. Usually I don't have much time in the morning. Instant oatmeal and coffee.

I REALLY like coffee first thing in the morning - after that I drink tea.  So, for me many times when lightweight camping I stick with tea.  Since I do drink coffee - if I don't get any caffeine, I get the dreaded headache...

Last year when elk hunting in Idaho we had such a lightweight spike camp and a no-burn order that we just chewed on coffee beans for our morning "fix".    

Since trying the Starbucks Via, I cannot do the baggy thing any more. The Via is better tasting and less left over mess--just a small empty sleeve. A couple of years ago on a similar thread, someone here mentioned roasting their own beans and buying their supplies from Sweet Maria's Coffee Co. on line. I would love to thank the guy who put me onto that!         Best coffee I have ever had!  Single grower origin coffee beans from about any country that grows coffee.  When you roast your own you know it is fresh and not made from tons of mixed origin beans of various varities just tossed together in the roaster! Reasonable prices and excellent service.

I started taking a little brew kit that consists of a small Optimu Backpacking pot with lid, alcohol stove, wind screen made out of flashing, and a small plastic cup, small spork, 2 oz bottle of alcohol. Everything nests inside itself and fits in a mesh bag. Size 4"x 5"about 16oz. I can post pic but if you PM me I can send photos.

Also look into a Stanley Cook Kit. This kit would be great with an alcohol stove.

I like cowboy coffee when I camp it's done faster than percolated

One elk trip in Oregon, we went through a drive through coffee place before heading to camp. The sweet girl at the place hooked us up with some chocolate covered coffee beans. Ate them like candy and didnt sleep for days. Now when I can find them I will carry for that emergency no-dose fix.
