Did someone toss the pull tab in the air for you? My guess is you like the bow a lot.
If it's in your way, move it.

non-typical

My thought was... "How do you get the pull tap to stay on the arrow during flight?"

Thank you Brian!

I haven't stopped shooting it long enough to get pictures of it...lol

I must be smitten because I am now on his list for a 66" Morningstar, brown glass on the front and off white(old ivory) colored glass on the belly. Myrtle riser and tempered bamboo cores.

This is the riser of my Morningstar.

These bows just handle phenomenally. It is no secret that I am a fan of James work, but even this one surprised me. My Vixen is my goto bow, it shoots so naturally and feels so good that there is zero thought that goes into making the perfect shot. Due to other obligations and a couple 3d shoots I did not spend much time with my Morningstar untill Sunday night and a good hour last night and I can see where this bow can easily take over the Vixens top spot.

The Morningstar rides in the hand in a perfect balance and has a wand like quality to it. It's balance and weight distribution make it a part of your arm in a way that it doesn't feel like you are even holding the bow.  Not to mention the draw is in believably smooth and at release the bow doesn't feel as if it even moves, you almost have to try to throw your shot off because a pluck or torque on the shooters part seems to have no ill effect on arrow flight.

So as you can see I love my Morningstar.

Good shooting Mudd.

I'm intrigued by those reverse handle bows, but I just can't get past the fact that they look like someone strung a bow backwards.  I'd love to to try one sometime to make a real informed opinion.

Mudd,

You appear to be lacking one of the spiritual gifts........self control!  Ha!

Awe come on Longerbow, it's just a few bows....lol

I maybe should send James' bow back to right away huh?...lol

Plus I doubt I'm the only one that has placed an order recently...lol

God bless,Mudd

PS: After these I am going to rein myself in somewhat..lol

Brazos

Looks like the bowyer had a few too many cocktails and filed the string nocks backwards and decided to just go ahead and string it up to sell to fools on Tradgang.  That said if I were going to buy a reverse handle bow that is the style I would get.  Reason being it is simple just like a normal Hill bow.  I do not have a reverse handle bow and have never shot one but the theory behind them makes perfect, common, sense.  It has always seemed to me it would be the superior design over the normal Hill style.  I plan to buy one more bow, a Hill style bow of course, next year and call it quits.  I may try one of these.

The "Morningstar" has made a believer out of me.

It just feels right!

First - Good Shoot'in Mr. Mudd!
Hey Brazos, if you do go with the simple American style - reverse handle - you won't regret the Morning Star.  I shot one the other day... (and although I cannot shoot with the fine accuracy of Mudd - opening cans with his arrows and such like   :biglaugh:  ) I will say - wow, what a bow.

Okie man

Mr. Mudd, if you get a chance, can you measure the brace height on that bow for me? I am getting mine set up but since we are in the midst of an ice storm here, I doubt that I will be doing any shooting this evening.

Brianlocal3

Okie,
James is saying 6" for starting brace. I have mine at 6 1/8"
