I am going to set up one of my bows for three under shooting.  Will the nock point normally be a little higher.

Yes.  I use the medium brass nock points.  Dead center on the nock point measures 3/4" on all my bows...

Probably a bit but bare shaft and or paper tuning will tell you where it wants to be.  You'll most likely want to tie a nock below also to hold the arrow from sliding down the string on release.

well I am somewhat new to trad only been shootin for about 4 or 5 months.  But I do shoot 3 under also.  I have noticed on my Kodiak its not an issue but with my Kodiak mag which is much shorter, yes I had to move my nock point up.  My fletching of my arrow was kicking up and down.  But since I moved the knock up I have not had this problem.  So I would say if your shooting a short bow like the kmag then yes but if its a 60" like a Kodiak or what not you should be just fine.  Good luck

In my experience not just a bit but as much as a 1/4" and sometimes 3/8ths of an inch higher. A lot depends on the size of your fingers believe it or not. I have a size 17.5 ring finger so huge hands and even though I do not shoot 3 under all my bows have a higher nocking point than most folks.. Shawn

Plan on working on a good location tonight. Going to tie in a moverable nock point while i do the fine tuning then I'll tie in a bottom nock.

Like others have said, let your bare shafts tell you.  Some people seem to have a relatively normal nock height for three under, but whenever I try it mine ends up in the 3/4"-7/8" range.

I also use a second nock point below the nock.  Brass works for the top one, but definitely use tied below or you will tear up your glove or tab.

You may want to use two nocks while tuning. Not using one below the nock will affect each shot because of the arrow nock sliding down the string. I usually just roll on some electrical tape that I cut about 1/3rd of its width until I find the correct position for that top nock.

I shoot 3 under also, and my nock sets are always 3/4" above.

Hmm, I have tried different nock heights on all of my bows set up for shooting 3 under. They all ended up shooting best with only 1/8" to 1/4" above level.

I have smaller hands and i'm an 1/8" to 1/4" high.  Like everyone else has said it's going to depend on you and your draw and anchor point.  A bare shaft will tell you what you need to know.

I shoot 3 under. I end up at 5/8" above horizontal on almost everything. I paper tune to get it right.  I find this the easiest part of tuning.

I use bowstring material to tie nock locators top and bottom of arrow's nock.
