I have seen this posted before, but when I search for it I can't find it. Can anybody give me an idea what method works best to remove the printing on the shaft. I remember something about acetone or lacquer thinner just want to make sure.
Thanks,
Brent

Goof Off and a paper towel works great for me

Haven't found anything that readily removes the labels on CE Heritage shafts. Acetone works well on others.

I've found that acetone and a cloth works for most shafts.  Steel wool is a little aggressive for the finish on shafts unless you encounter some really tough paint or ink.  Sometimes I'll wrap the shaft with an acetone soaked cloth for a few minutes if it's really hard to get the logo off.  Fingernail polish is about 98% acetone.  Wear rubber gloves with acetone so it doesn't soak into your skin.  And be careful.  Acetone is highly flammable.

I just stripped a batch of CE Heritage shafts using acetone. Took a little rubbing, but it came off. I did a dozen in less than 1/2 hour.

Just use a knife and gently s rape them off.  I have done dozens this way with no problems.  I hate labels on arrows:(

I use Brillo soap pads for my Gold Tip Traditionals. After the soap worked in little bit, it goes great!
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

Testors paint thinner works good also

Like turkeyfootgirl said, For CX heritage shafts especially, I use a dull knife and just scrape off whatever paint, or old cresting. Then use a little acetone to get the remaining off. Just be careful using the knife as a scraper

Goo Gone or the like works well...easy.

I use acetone on an old rag for my Gold Tip black shafts.

Goo Gone, Goof Off, Oops, and similar work the best because the don't evaporate so fast. Acetone works but you usually have to soak it for awhile. The only shaft I've had trouble with is Victory with ICE. The decals come off easily but there is usually an outline left.
