"Preparations in June"

Alone in the forest
As I look all around
I could see little hoof prints
Through the ferns on the ground

Shadowed by the overhead
That swayed in the breeze
I plotted the site
To hang my stand in the trees

Now up a slender pole
I boldly did go
Got everything in place
And ready for the show

All shooting lanes cleared
I descended back down
With a song on my lips
I headed for town

Just two months to go
The season would be here
Excitement filled my loins
While my heart was of good cheer

Shoot with my bow
All gear is in tune
But, keep on practicing
Opening day will be soon.....TW
