Gene, a hunting friend and I did a lot of driving between scouting walks this week. Had to dodge a lot of squirrels. i think they were getting acorns on the black topped roads. Arcorns are not as plentiful here this year, we only have red oak acorns this year.

yep,we dont have many acorns,hickory nuts,or pecans.

I think there are just alot of skwerls.

And all this time I thought they were trying to bite my tires on my truck like dogs do when you drive by!

It's all part of the animals secret plot to regain control of the planet.    

Lots of mast crops here, and they are still all over the roads.

I think they heard we were coming and are running for there lives!!

Saw a trivia bit a while back that said squirrels are the #1 roadkilled animal in the US.
