For those guys out there that have used both in Douglas Fir how do they compare? I have currently got shafts from Surewood that are great but I am looking at building some arrows for my Daughters & my wife so I am looking at 5/16 shafts. Surwood doesn't list premiums for 5/16 but they do have some that are slightly over size. Hildebrand list premium 5/16 in Douglas Fir & Sitka Spruce as an option for a lighter shaft.
Any help would be appreciated.

Gerry

Cannot comment on the 5/16" shafts but just got 2 dozen 11/32" that we matched closer than I can shoot.   32" that weighed at 330 to 340 grains.    The folks at HIldebrand are top shelf people and offer excellent service.  Contact  them I am sure they can help out.

Ground Hunter

I use both.  Both are great shafts and good folks to do buisness with.  Only depends on how heavy a shaft you want.  DF is heavier than Sitka.  The DF can be had in higher spines - 80 plus.

Plumber

cant go wrong with Hildenbran never used surewood
