After watching one of Ashbells videos I checked my bow too. Ashbell stated that a good bow should have its center of weight in the deepest point of the handle- where he puts most of the pressure-forward. So I made an experiment and taped some heavy lures above the arrow rest on the outside of the bow. Well, it seems to work nicely so far. But was it the increased weight or the improved balance that made it more accurate?

I think it was Fish Mojo.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Could be the reason stabilizer inserts were once prominent on so many bows. They may not look pretty but they seem to work well.
