Hello to the Gang.

It´s been a while since I showed up here.

I hope you people had a good time, successful hunting and straight arrows flying out of your bows.

Here is some pics of why I love my Border Bow curves.

Call me a fanboy if you want .... but I´d rather consider myself  a proud member of a great family !!

I have been a trad bow shooter since I was a little boy.
Started off with some hazelnut bows given to me by my grandfather. Arrows where made out of reed or river cane.
I must have scared all  critters in the neighborhood back then ....

Since then I have been shooting many bows - even started building my own bows.....

Here is how it all started with Border .... must have been around twelve years ago or something ...

A friend of mine owned a ROB ROY one piece Recurve made by Border Archery in Scotland.
After shooting that bow I wanted one myself ....
and here it is.

My first Border
a 60 inch Khan XP 30 - 70 lbs @ 29

She was a beauty within the beast.

I should have not let her go ..... oh boy : )     lesson learnt !!!

Main reason for switching to a Black Douglas take down was my love for traveling.
Makes traveling the world so much easier with a take down bow.

After laying my hands on a Black Douglas with XP 30 Limbs about six years ago I never looked back since !!!
Upgraded her with HEX 4, HEX 5 , HEX 6  Limbs ....... and let´s see what the future brings .

I have to apologize here !!!!

The size of pics are bigger that allowed on here.

I am trying to downsize them on Photobucket and hopefully I will get it done without going crazy.

Since Photobucket changed everything up it looks like it is more complicated than it used to be or is it just me being not smart enough ????

Again,  SORRY

If I can´t downsize the pics feel free to delete the whole thread.

Daniel,

The pictures appear to be just fine in size to me.

Danny,

I had some problems with my right shoulder and elbow this year.
I could not even draw back a 25 lbs bow.

While horse training I got myself confronted with a crazy stallion this spring
Must have been around 1200 pounds of muscle and bones trying to stomp me into the ground.
I was lucky to get out alive.

Anyhow, I got back into shooting again, slowly, step by step but getting there.

I am returning to Texas somewhere around nov or dec this year so the chances are pretty high to meet you again at Smitty´s and have some pickin´n grinnin´going on.

Kepp in touch.

Back to Photobucket .... drives me nuts !!!!!
