I have only been to ETAR but it was one of the most enjoyable weekends of my life.  Awesome company and awesome shoot!!!

I've never been to Baltimore, but if your goal is to check out/buy a bow, I don't know that you can find a better place than ETAR.

I've been to both several times.

Both are great, and both can get very crowded.  B'more has 3 courses, ETAR has 8. If you can, do all your shooting on the first day or very early or late in the following days. You will test your patience if you hit a course at mid-day on Saturday.

B'more has a few dozen vendors, ETAR has 150.

B'more has the best pit beef sandwiches in the world, ETAR has food (it will keep you alive).

B'more has nice grass field for camping, ETAR has mud.

B'more gets a good exibition archer for entertainment, ETAR gets the same plus various well known speakers and informative demonstrations.

Hard to pick my favorite. I like them both.

No matter which one be sure and camp at the site.  The night time stories around the camp fire and comradery is the best part for me!

I've been to both, but if I had to choose only one for this year, it would probably be ETAR, for Red Beastmaster's  above stated reasons, but whichever one you pick, you'll have a great time with the great people that are there.

  • Bear Tamerlane 66" 30# @ 28" (1966)- for my better half

Thanks guys...... :)

I would do both, but getting my shooting buddies to do both in the same year is a tough one.

I have been to both.shooting at b more is great,Its my home town shoot. Its like a mini etar less crowded great food an cheaper.etar is something to see it was a lot of fun.I like a smaller crowds so I like b more better.at etar I felt like there was too much going on.at b more its a bit more user friendly an acces to stores an other things you may need are closer.the moutains are pretty in pa an you wont see any bears in b more.I think as far as shopping goes for archery goods you can get what ever you need at both shoots.both are a must see you will have a blast what ever you decide.Ed

Yep.  I met one of my best shootin' buddies, Keith Zimmerman, when I wa shooting by myself on a course and joined up with his group along the course.  We've met up a several shoots since then and lots of good times.  You're never without friends at ETAR.

I have been to both several times and this year only going to Baltimore--I like it better.  That said, I am not in the market for anything in particular.  If I were I would probably make ETAR.  I grew tired of mud and porta-johns all week and if you don't get to ETAR by Tuesday you aren't going to find a decent camping spot in all likelihood. I like it buit don't want to spend a week there.

Baltimore is less crowded, more intimate. Weather is much better in May than rain, thunderstorms and hail in July. I try to go to both but enjoy Baltimore more. If it wasn't for a fishing trip to Lake Champlain in June I'd choose Sawmill over ETAR.

Never been to the Baltimore shoot but I love going to ETAR.

When and where is the Baltimore shoot guys? It sounds like fun. Is it a trad only event? Thanks.

PBNJ, check out the Baltimore Bowman site. I think it is May 17,18,19. Great event. I am blessed to live 15 minutes from the site, have been a member of the club for many years. It is a trad only event.   BILL

I love them both but i will say Baltimore has ETAR beat with the most beautiful woods to walk through. I just love those tulip trees.

Never been to Balt.  Work schedule is too busy.  I have been going to ETAR for a long time.  Be careful on the courses.  Lots of shady characters.  Had one following us a few years ago.  Can't seem to ditch him now:)  LOL!
