BUMP~ I am also looking for different riser wood(s) that go well with cedar limbs verniers. I would love to see some different pics of what is out there!

hope this is ok- grabbed this from the suggested post above:

Limbs are 4 lams of eastern red cedar. The riser is cherry and walnut with an accent stripe of osage. The overlays are osage, and I believe cocobolo. All topped off with a string ray grip wrap.

Check out Robertson's website. Dick uses alot of juniper and gets spectacular wood of all species.

Yup what Westbrook said, Dick and Yote have made me a couple with juniper veneers and ya do not see any better. I had a Vision 11 with Osage and Cocobola riser with juniper veneers and it was one of the prettiest bows I owned. If someone reads this and has it, it has "Mountain Dew" on it, I would love to buy it back. Shawn

went to the site, didn't see any specific "combinations" that had the cedar limbs.

I cant believe more people aren't shooting cedar limbs?

My favorite bow has cedar veneers. Unfortuately, no good pics of the limbs. The riser is zircote with a bubinga crescent.

Thanks kenny. I remember when Marty built that bow. I'm leaning towards footed ziricote with a myrtle flare. The coco/Osage looks good too.
