What are some suggestions for a bow 62" or shorter for  draw length of 29.5". I prefer longbows/hybrids. Really looking for smooth draw without stack and a good shooter.

Here are a few you can look at from 52-62"

3 of these are Eagle wing static tip RC's.

Kirk,

I'm looking at buying a static tip recurve.  Are any of the Eagle Wings available for sale?

Thanks!

Well, any other time I would tell ya 60" Super Shrew but they are not being made currently. Its my favorite short bow, the only one I've shot that shoots like a Looonger bow.

I would look into forward handled longbows. Shrew,Thunderchild,Black Creek Banshee,Striker Stinger, etc. Maybe even a long limbed short riser ILF set-up. rat'

Don't forget about Dwyer. Dauntless at 62 inch and Edeavor at 58 inch. Both great bows, very smooth.

Toelke Whips, both Standard and Classic can be built in a 62" to easily accomodate 29.5" draws. His recurves both 1 pc. and take-downs can handle that draw in bow lengths well under that.

I draw 29 on my Acadian Woods Tree Sticks with no stacking.  Smooth, fast and beautiful bows!

I have a Robertson 62" Purist.  It is sweet.  I have only had this one about 8 months and it is now my new fav.

so why is a bit of stack not okay...i shoot 30 inches...i like some stack
I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I measured my Caribow Tuktu (62") out to 30 inches.

Absoluely linear.

66 pounds @ 30", so smooth, it seems soft.
Caribow Tuktu 59# @ 28"

Damon Howatt Hunter 72# @ 31"

Humiliator 85# @ 28"

The new limb design Dick Robertson is using in his Fatal Styk and Tribal Styk recurves is awesome...I have 29.5inch draw and never noticed a single bit of stack at my draw length from the 60" bow.

Great bow, respected long time bowyer, and it was impressive how smooth the 60" Fatal Styk was to draw for me.
Keep em sharp,
