I just picked up a pronghorn takedown from the classifieds. Great looking bow and seems to like a wide veriaty of arrows. I would like to hear from other Pronghorn owners past or presant about there thought on these bows.

You can't beat Pronghorns unless you bought a 58" and for me the 60" is just ok.  I have had 3 and now have a 62" that is probably the best shooter I have owned in 25 years.

I have several different custom bows.  My pronghorn travels with me everywhere.  The others aregreat bows, but the added mass weight of the three piece just seems perfect compliment to the comfortable draw weight.  I can see you smiling from here

The one I just picked up is 60" 59#@28" I shoot 27" = 55#

I have a 56 inch one peice.  58# @ 28". I draw it 27". great tree stand bow and it requires very little practice to go from recurve to longbow. Plus, Herb is one of the all-time greats.

I have or have had many different bows and the Pronghorn is my go to bow.  The riser fits me and performance is excellant.  Right now I have two riser and three sets of limbs.

If I ever see one that fits my needs for a deal I may snap it up.

I brought one just to shoot a longbow shoot I fell in love and now I own two and want more.

Nobody should be able to own more than 15.  

I bought my first a few years ago, a 60" 56#er.  Is it the best longbow?  I don't know because there are so many I have not shot.  But I do know I really like how this one shoots, so much that I have little desire to try anything else. I have had a few different bows over the years and the Pronghorn is the only one that I have more than one of.  

My newest is a looker.  It is a 66" and 48#.  Birds eye maple and curly maple. And to top it off,  it shoots as good as it looks! The performance of it is not far from the first.  The grip is one of the main reasons I like my Pronghorns so much.  I have never talked to Herb, but he builds a very very nice bow.

Still hoping to talk Shedrock out of a other Pronghorn, perhaps a three piece this time.  Seriously Shedrock, what range of weights, do you have and which is your favorite?

Excellent bows l have a 58"-54#@27-3pc & a56"-49#@26" one pc. They are smooth, quiet and will shoot just about any arrow you want to shoot out of them. Very user friendly. Herb is a great guy to deal with possibly the best.

Excellent bow shoots where you point, quiet. I've owned two wish I still had the first one, won't get rid of the second.
