This arvo I found my self once agen on my way to the bunny hunting grounds with Steve my compound shooting mate agen. Well the arvo started off extreamly slow with no shots being taken for the first 2 hours when finally I shot a rabbit within 2m of wear I shot a cat 1week ago with the same arrow and it looked like someone had hit in the face with a axe.

this was followed buy 2 hours of nothing I think it was just a bit hot for any thing to be out but we weare managing to push a few foxes out of the trees and the od bunny but no shots presented until I missed a fox on the trot at about 5m but I made up for the miss with what might be my best shot I have ever pulled off.
I was walking a tree line trying to get the drop on a hare but they kept spooking when I'd get within 30m so when I run out of cover on one sitting in the paddock I figed what the hell and picked my spot drew and before I knew it my arrow was on the way hitting the hare peficaly. The shot was just on 50 paces with a heavy cross wind.
And to top a good hunt off Steve got nothing for the arvo with his compound so once agen the trad gear come out on top as well
Cheers Jim

Tha shark sure messed up the first hare.  Nice shooting!!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

great shooting mate. i couldn't work out what that cone shaped thing was for a while though. i thought it must have been some sort of hare call in your pocket.

then it dawned on me. WOW, top effort shooting like that. well done.

Flyne,
Great to get a flavor for hunting in other parts of the world. That bunny did not suffer.
