Went to a local indoor 3D shoot today and finally got to shoot a few thru the chrono...

58" carbon/foam Evo recurve
51@28, I draw 29"...520 grain arrow...195 fps average (195,194,197)

The lighting in the building wasn't the best...so those numbers may be a few fps low        :saywhat:

I am not a speed junkie, just curious what the numbers were...as I get alot of comments of how fast this bow is.

Just thought some may be interested in my non-scientific test.
I have some other bows and am curious how they do.

I believe it.  I also draw close to 29 and while I've never chrono'd it, my 64" LB SXT carbon/foam feels and looks like its going mach1.  Got to be the fastest bow I own.

That's smoking fast! I need to chrono my 61lb carbon/foam Nitro and see what its doing. It's got to be the fastest longbow I've owned!

If you get a chance, I would love to see how your 52@28 nitro limbs do...I too have a nitro, 60" 51@28 carbon foam, and have yet to test it.

I just tried to chrono my 61# limbs but my chrono is junk! I need the light kit for it, the only time I can get it to semi work is outside in natural light.

i have tested quite a few bows and i can honestly say that with my crude tests and my chrono the Zipper is at the top. At 9 grains per pound the Zipper will do 200+ all day long (foam no carbon).  Not sure what bill does with those limbs but....fastest i have tested.

I finally shot my Nitro that's 61@28 through the chrono at Bill & Tracey's this weekend! With a 543 grain arrow it shot 193,191,192!!! This is by far the fastest longbow I've shot!!

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Great numbers from your Nitro Logan...thanks for sharing that.
Did you shoot the 51@28 limbs too?

A zipper is a very fast bow, and they are shooters to boot! It is hard to beat a zipper.
