Will someone please enlighten me and explain the difference between the Cheyenne and the Shawnee. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Cheyenne limb bolts attach on front. Shawnee on rear. Both awesome bows. Cheyenne more recurve style riser.

Longspur77,
Thank you for the info. I just couldn't find any info on Bob's web page.

Spurs

IMO Shawnee Makes better longbow and Cheyenne recurve.   I miss my 15" riser Cheyenne.

Different limb pad angles.  Cheyenne is more deflexed, so smoother draw, but a little bit less performance (minimal).  Shawnee more of a straight riser, so higher performance for both limbs, with more preload, but the recurve limbs can be a bit twitchy (but fast!).  Longbow limbs are nice on the shawnee.  Cheyenne riser a bit more mass.  Both very nice!

Two great bows no matter how you look at it. I have one of each and love them. The Shawnee would be a better longbow because of the straight riser, but if you like a riser with more mass weight the Cheyenne is the way to go. If your looking for a recurve get one with the Max 1 limbs super awesome limbs the best of the best.   I have a leadwood Cheynne on order now with max 1 limbs.

I have both and enjoy both risers.  It's all a matter of personal preference, either way you go Bob will make you a masterpiece.

Thanks everyone for the info it is most appreciated. I do wish to ask Gary Hall what the Max 1 limbs are composed of. Gary are these the carbon/foam limbs? Again thanks everyone.

I have an ILF wood riser that has about the same amount of deflex as the Cheyenne.  Really nice bow, I bought a cheap set of low weight black max limbs while I'm waiting for Bob to finish my Max 1 limbs.

Gary,

What size riser/limbs did you have Bob build for you?  I just bought a B Leadwood riser from him yesterday that was in stock. I already have a set of D Max 1 limbs that are Carbon/Foam and 45#@28".  They are the best shooting limbs I've owned.  And I've owned just about all of them.
