2018's

2018's have to be the most versitle arrow made. we were shooting them off every bow we had at leauges last night. anywere from 45#s to almost '70#s and they flew off everything even at 30" with a 175 up front. so if anyone out there is having trouble getting arrows to fly try them. i would have never thought it at all but they flew off everyhting. anyone else came across this?

Watching this thread with interest! Just got my 1st half dozen 2018's and they are 30"!

For folks used to carbons, I think they will find most aluminums to be very forgiving and very versatile.

I've used the 2018 with success in bows 45-60#, so I agreee it's a great arrow!

2018's are the bomb!

I have used them on several bows because I'm cheap and didn't want to buy new ones and they flew well enough to not warrant buying new ones.

im thinking about breaking them back out of the arrow box i started shooting 2117s but i think the 2018s are flying better

I've been saying that for a long time. A great shaft. Tough, heavy, can be used with a wide range of bow weight's, draw lenghts, broadheads, etc. etc.

Great shafts. I ve shot them on my bow from 53-63#.

Them 2018's is good arrits! Love some 2020's too just can't handle a bow heavy enough to shoot em with my bum shoulder. My son shoots them both from my Black Widow SA111 56#'s.

You are so right about the versatility of 2018s. I shot them for years out of bows 46-50#. Now that I have dropped down in bow weight I would add that 2016s are just as versatile-- I shoot them out of all my bows (40-45#) with as much as 200g up front and they fly straight and true regardless of which bow. Spine charts tell a different tale than real life, I think.

Yes sir. They are a very forgiving arrow. Great weight,and they shoot so consistent. Very affordable.
And you can get them with push-in "S" nocks which is great. You can also cut the ends off of the glue on nock ends of a Legacy shaft,and update them to the push-in nocks with some very affordable nock inserts. You can't lose with them. rat'

I'm thinking I need to get my hands on some of these to try out. I have a new-to-me RER Arroyo 49@28 and I draw 30" which puts me in that mid-50's range. Right now I'm shooting AO 2117's out of it and they shoot pretty well, just curious as to how the 2018's would do out of it. I like shooting heavy point weights which makes me think the 2117's might work but I am always open to playing around with new arrows.

Might have made a mistake selling a dozen Legacy's recently...
But I have a dozen uncut Autumn Hunters that I plan to get fletched up and GTG. Good to see this and another thread promoting the Aluminium shaft. I'm trying to simplify things and 2018's and Surewood woodies are my new plan.

Tom, I'm with you on the Surewoods and the 2018's. I shoot the tin can shafts when shooting at really bad 3D targets...don't want to mess up my woodies on the old targets.

I like them and so does my Savannah
Ive shot them for a while.
I have legacys and XX75 camo hunters (with uni nocks)
They shoot really well out of a longbow (IMO)

Been shootin em for years. Just refletched a bunch the other nite in Fred Bear orange.
