Where would a good starting place be for the brace height on a Morrison recurve?

Greg

BOHO

I would start high and work down til you get the speed and quietness that you want. maybe 8" and start coming down from there

I have a 15" and a 17" metal Morrison Riser.  Found the best brace height to be 7" on both of them.  Both of them shoot like a dream at that height. short and medium limbs. 30# 35# 40 45# limbs.

Bob should have a recommended brace height for all his bows...

Rick Richard

I can tell you Bob shoots his personal bow at 7 inches. I shoot my 17 inch Phoenix metal riser at 61/2 inches. I can't tell the difference between 61/2 and 7 inches on my bow. So, having a short draw I am content with the 61/2 inches for that little extra "humph"

My Cheyenne and Shawnee recurves are both 7 to 7-1/4 inches. (your mileage may vary)
