rambo1993,
For what it is worth: You will get a string with your bow (I usually ask for a second string to be sent with the new bow that way I can go for a while before worrying about a question like yours.)

Once you get your bow, just string it up, set a brace height and nocking point and shoot it!  Get it as quiet as possible FIRST and only then worry about silencers.  If you put them (silencers) on first, you may or may not really find the best brace height and nocking point.

Then IF you feel the need for more silencing, remember LESS is better.  Start with just a few strands of wool yarn and go from there.  That will reduce weight on the string and give better performance.  I see some folks that look like they have half a sheep skin on each end of their string -- always wonder why.

My 2 cents worth.

Do yourself a favour and talk to Pierre from SBD strings. He knows everything there is to know about strings... besides of that..... he is a sponsor here.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

Arne is who I would listen to..choice of strings will be your choice..not everyone like each others choices..some say try this XXX skinny or this XXX chubby string..try stock first and do what Arne says and after awhile..pick your choice of string and still do what Arne says   :D   and for my flavor of strings (flemish or endless since I do both) I find that my 12 to 14 strand of 8190 (skinny string) is just as fast as my 6 to 8 strand D10 (skinny strings)..within 1fps per my chrono so to me its a moot point..skinny versus standard,,now dacron is a whole another story...HP material will out perform dacron day in and day out if bow is rated for HP string material and BTW just do what Arne says   :biglaugh:

ps. on a recurve wrap some yarn on string until it passes the curve of limbs by 3/4" then do what Arne says and do his tips

I recently set up two Morrison Metal risers with my arrows.  Lowering the brace height to Morrison's recommended brace height of 7" seemed to quiet them down considerably.
