They are the reason they came out with "Tree-Sharks"....

I have a tattoo of one breaking an arrow on my right arm. They are bad mothers. I shot at one yesterday with a field tip. If I would have connected it would have meant a severe butt kickin for me. Glad I missed.

I've had the same thing happen with the hexblunts.  They work great for rabbits, but it seems like squirrels need something with a little more testosterone. G5 small game heads do very well.

I killed one with a Game Nabber before, I got penetration. I am going to switch back for Skwerls

I still have a slight limp from an old squirrel hunting injury...

Well guys,

After all this talk about going after the beast, I found it fitting to finally go after them myself. After a hour and a half of careful, quiet stalking with stick and string   :scared:

You know those chain mail shark suits that they make.... get one!

Be fit enough to run in it because once one latches on, his buddys will pile on till you go down.  I don't want to describe what happens after that there are kids on this site.

Skyler and I are working on a cage we can put in the woods and hunt from.  They crushed the first one.

Good luck.

I agree with Mr. Scifres, they are tough buggars! I like blunts as they do not stick in trees real easy and I like old broadheads that I do not shoot anymore. I hit one the other day with a judo about mid-body from 12 yards and took him rght off the side of the tree, he ran 30 yards with my arrow hanging and than managed to get up a tree and int a hole as my arrow pulled out all the way through. I make my arrows form dowels from Lowes and use old feathers and bits and pieces of feathers, I can make them for about $15 a dozen and do not worry about losing a $7 carbon. i use thje kissing the back of my hand for a call and it works well for me, I spot and stalk mostly but will climb into one of my stands and sit patiently if it is near some good nut trees, good luck and have fun! Here's a pic of one of his fellow soldiers. This guy was caught on a recon mission through my pecan trees. I'd thought I took him with a sound hit but he managed to escape me(hit across the rear).

A day later I found him back once again reaping the fruits of my trees labor. I managed to hit him in the back of the neck with an old Ripper from the 60's. The Ripper took him out of the tree but he hit the ground running. I was in hot pursuit and as he made a little zig he found he should have zagged. I got him in the gut with the luckiest on the run shot I've ever made.

I't still took a bootin' to finalize this little soldier. I'd hate to fight an army of them. CK

good job has anyone else noticed the number of squirrels run over trying to get food and water?
