Is there any real difference between a Jack Harrison longbow and Fisk longbow. I am to the understanding Fisk longbows is the company Jack Harrison started.  I have always wanted to see in person let a lone shoot one of each of these bows. I am always looking for one since that seems to be the only way I will get a good impression of one of these bows.

Bill Turner

Fisk was taught and trained by Jack Harrison. He bought him out, lock, stock and barrel a few years back. Forms and all. Harrison has since gone back to making a custom bow on occasions, with a very high price tag. I have never seen/shot a bow by Fisk or for that matter Harrison, but I hear that the Fisk bows are very nice. "Raging Waters", a TG member out of Austin, TX, should be able to answer your questions from experience.  Good luck.  :campfire:

Rod Bear

I owned a Fisk a couple of years ago. Beautiful bow.One of the best shooting bows that I have ever had.The only reason that I sold it,was it was a little to heavy for me.

Blackhawk

I owned a Harrison Black Wolf, 70" TD longbow, a few years ago.  It was extremely smooth and accurate, but its large wrapped grip was not comfortable for me.

In retrospect,  I should have kept it, shot it more and gotten used to it.  I would definitely get another Harrison if the right specs and price presents itself.

And no, never shot a Fisk.
