Ive had a 62" 46#@28 turkey creek lh longbow for about 6 months now and recently picked up a dwyer dauntless 62" 53#@28 lh to try one out. I told myself I would sell one of them because I already have about 8 bows but I try to keep only one go to bow if you will. I just got the dwyer tuned up yesterday after having to refinish it so I havent had alot of shooting time with it. But WOW it does shoot smooth and fast no matter what arrow i shoot. So help me ponder my issue...

only YOU can decide what's best for YOU!  why would you want someone else to make decisions for you?  heck, that's what our current government wants to do with ALL of us!    :banghead:

Send them to me for analysis and I'll pick the one you should keep and return it to you.

As a free service, no less!  I'll even pay return postage on the one bow.

I dont want someone to decide for me. just looking for opinions thats all

Keep in mind I have never personally shot either of those bows. Just going from what I hear/read about both on here. There is a good chance that which ever one you sell will get you into the other thread here about " the bow you wished you had back"!! Good luck with your decision. Mike

Believe it or not the "HARDWAY" is often the EASIER way(in hindsight)!

Please send them both to me, and I will shot them for a while and let you know.

I've had a bow shootout before - the loser got sold, better try that over a few days rather than just one and never had a shootout with a new bow, only after I had shot it a while and figured out what I thought it liked.

From your post, it sounds like the Dwyer really clicks for you.  I might be tempted to keep both and sell one of the other eight.   :D     :dunno:

Keep both... sell one or all of the other eight. I sold all my bows and kept 2 t/d longbows. They are made by the same bowyer so same grip, same feel etc. One is 60" the other 62" both 50#@28" Never been happier. Both bows get equal attention, no transition between bows. My feeling has always been ... if it doesn't get used,I probably don't need it. So it goes!.

Two of the other bows I have are my bowfishing grizzlies that i wont get rid of. Two of the other bows are bows that I made though I have pondered selling the one but there is not much of a market for a 68" 72#@28 bamboo and ipe reflex rh/lh.

Never shot a turkey creek.  I love my Dwyer though!  I'd be hard pressed to sell it.

I have also never shot a turkey creek bow. I can't get enough of my Dwyers. Good luck in your decision.

The simple solution is keep the one that fits you best and that you can shoot the most consistantly.

Since you asked what we would do I will say that I would kiss the Turkey Creek bye bye and keep the Dauntless.
God bless you all, Steve

If it was my decision for myself and I could afford it, I would keep  them all. But if money was and issue, I would keep the bow that makes me smile the biggest.

I guess one of the main deciding factors will be on monday when I get my manly gt pink 5575. Because I normally shoot gt 3555. I just couldnt pass them up for the price and always wondered how well a heavier arrow shot outta my bows.

nick straatmann

btw the turkey creek is losing the better bow battle so far.....
