We have IBO World Champion Rod Jenkins scheduled to come to Santa Fe, NM to give his Shooting Clinic on the weekend of April 13th and 14th.

I have never attended Rod's clinic, so I will have to refer you to other threads and posts here on Tradgang for a more detailed description of what Rod teaches. But in short the clinic is focused on form and fundamentals of the shot. Rod will guide you through the seven steps of the shot with both one-on-one and group instruction.

The cost for the clinic is $225 per person. Since Rod is traveling far, we will need to fill all 12 spots in order for the clinic to run.

The clinic will be held at the Archers de Santa Fe range just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Please see  www.archersdesantafe.org  for directions to the range.

Send me a PM to sign up.

I am seriously thinking about going to this clinic. It is almost an 8 hour drive for me. If I decide to go I am wondering if there would be anyone that would like to share a hotel room. This way it would cut the cost in half. I am sure there will be some guys driving in from outside Santa Fe that will need to stay in a hotel.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, so far I only have "locals" signed up, but hopefully we'll get more signed up from out of town.

Guys, take the time and spend the $. It is the single best thing you can do for yourself pertaining to archery. Rod is an excellent teacher and you will go away with the tools to continuing, throughout your lifetime, to stay on track and improve. Plus it will be just a plain ol' good time....(said in a 'Bama southern way)

Thanks Snag for the plug. I'm really looking forward to it. As you said, particularly to getting the tools to improve.

Josh, I shot you an email with details.

I wanted to get this back to the top so hopefully more people will see it and take advantage of this great oppertunity.

Henrik,  Could you please email me if it looks like the clinic is for sure going to happen??  Don't want to fly down and have it not happen.  Duckbill@alaska.com

HenrikBP

Thank you for the bump Randy  :)

Since I got a question about the Clinic duration from someone interested: the Clinic will run Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm.  Sorry for any confusion.

Bill, I can certainly understand that.  Right now we have 5 people signed up and confirmed. 2 more Tradgangers have expressed an interest. So for now I can't guarantee that the clinic will run for sure.  But I will keep you posted.

Thanks a lot, as always the sooner the better.  Airlines always gouge you deep for last minute flights, especially from up here

Bill, I have your contact info on the list, and I'll keep an eye on it and let you know along the way as sign-up progresses.

I would like to attend if my schedule will allow. PM how you want payment.

Adam and I attended the clinic in Hood River a few years ago-it was a really good investment and we had a great time. No matter what aiming style you use Rod helps you to plan your shot sequence and maximize your draw length-well worth your while.

Question for those that have attended one of Rod's clinics before. How is it for someone that does NOT have years of experience with the bow?  Does he work with you no matter what your current skill level is or is it more geared towards those that have more experience and are looking to tune up their current abilities?

Thanks!

That's a really good question - I've only been at it for about a year      :)
