Had the day off today, decided to make the long haul out to the WMA (The same one I got my truck stuck in last time.) arrived down the long dirt road about 1300. Found a spot to stop and start stalking the elusive scrabitt (Fl scrub rabbit).

I must have put 4 miles on my Rocky boots with no such luck... I started just roving around the 64,000+ acre WMA, enjoying the outdoors. Watching the way mother nature created this amazing place. I then turned my attention to some stump shooting. Started off pretty good..

This sucker was really rotted out... Look close and you can see my nock.

then things got a little bumpy... lol

Now, that picture above may look alright... But theres suppose to be a third arrow...    :bigsmyl:

All in all, Awesome day to be outside, yea I lost a couple arrows. Didn't see dinner at all. But I learned some things on my form, explored a whole lot of ground. Did see one doe! Beautiful opportunity to be out slinging arrows.

As I loaded up my truck, took my glove off... Started easing down the dirt road I just set on 6 hours before, I noticed I had a voice mail.

It was from our agency's Admin lead, she said my transfer papers were finalized... I get to move back a little closer to home! Back to being in the middle of the woods! Where I can go out my backyard for deer, rabbits, tree rats, etc. I'm sooooo thankful! Couldn't be more appreciative!

Then I realized, I was just accepting the fact, it took me a hour one way to just go somewhere where I could sling a arrow... Then th man upstairs lets me know he sees this... and thanks me by letting me go home!

Couldn't be happier.

When I first moved to Fl. I used to shoot ducks from my back yard. When I moved away from Fl. I had to drive over an hr just to shoot.

Archery isn't something I do, it's who I am!
The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.
