I'm not trying to raise a fuss, but I can't figure out why traditional Olympic Archery is banned from discussion. Maybe it shouldn't be discussed on a traditional archery hunting forum, but it would seem that it should be welcomed on some other forum here on tradgang. And maybe there is one here, but I missed it.

While the Olympic Games are not "bowhunting" per se, there are many tips and tricks that many can learn from, by the discussion, while the Games are on TV. There is a "Form Forum" here, for example, which has as much to do with hunting as the Olympic Games tips do. There's also a Collecting/History forum and a Prayer forum. Perhaps an Olympic Games Archery forum may have a place here-just thinking out loud.

Here's the news from the last Olympic games...

"Ratings for Olympic coverage of the sport have surged on cable, say NBC Sports chief Mark Lazarus and NBC Research President Alan Wurtzel. And the executives have a suspicion why.

"Archery is the new curling," Wurtzel said. "The numbers for archery have been nothing less than huge. Maybe it's The Hunger Games phenomenon. We're going to keep an eye on that."

The executives told reporters on a conference call Thursday morning that archery coverage on MSNBC and NBC Sports Network have rated higher than any other Summer Games sport on cable so far this year, averaging 1.5 million viewers and beating out basketball as the top Olympic sport among the network's non-broadcast network coverage."

Again, not trying to start a fight, but why exactly can't the biggest traditional archery fans talk about the biggest traditional archery event in the world on the biggest traditional archery web forum?

From being in the business for years, it would seem expanding the base would be a goal, as opposed to limiting the base.

Thanks in advance.

Mudd

I know it isn't needed but I'm going to step out for "Home Plate" any way.

This site is solely the property of Terry Green. Terry has a view of what being "Tradgang.com should be and has held strongly to his "dream".

Folks, it works!... and it continues to work!

Why?.. It's all because of the adherence to the rules... rules set by the one who has the right and authority to do so.

When you have your own web page you can set the rules.

I hang out here simply because it's "The best" not that I am 100% in agreement with every detail of the rules... but they are what they are.

I can choose whether to be here and follow them or I can choose to go elsewhere.

My "not so important" opinion.

God bless,Mudd
