Rob, they don't have their act together yet.  I just completed a survey by photoshop. No where in the survey were we asked about the resizing feature or album and picture switching / missing.

Rob,
Thanks for the info. I'm just about done with photobucket...
I think I'll try something else.
Thanks again

the absolute best thing everyone can do is learn how to crop, resize, and enhance the focus of images right in their own pc.  there are more than a few excellent and free and simple to use graphics apps for pc, apple and linux.  once yer image looks great in your pc, choose any online image archive and upload - confident that your posted image will be the right size and looking its best.

what i'd LOVE to do is teach the use of graphics apps to those that really wanna learn and be free of using these online images archive for editing their photos.  kinda hard to do, but maybe i can put something together for windows users of xp, win7 and win8.

Hi Rob: You asked about IMGUR auto resizing. On your images page, to the left are a couple of buttons. One is auto-resize imports, which allows you a number of choices from the drop down, including a 600x ____, for web pages. You can have it off or on, and import a lot of images with resize, or just one. On the image page for each image, it gives a number of choices for the type of  address that fits your application. Pretty simple. - Jay Campbell

Sorry - it's on the right of the page. :-) - Jay

Doing these "auto re size" up loads really degrade a lot of your photo's.....

i know it takes a bit more time, but once you get your pics uploaded to your PC from your camera it's always best to use a photo editing software to crop as much as you can and re size it before up loading to photo bucket.  your pictures come out much better, and the upload time it takes is much less.

For you guys that use Microsoft office. Instead of clicking on your photos to open them in MS picture viewer. Right click and open them in Microsoft Picture manager instead. The editing software is really user friendly and you can run through a bunch of pictures pretty darn quick cropping and resizing them prior to uploading to the bucket.

maybe that will help some of you...  Kirk

Excellent image quality and interesting to see how our moderators started out. That was funny    :)

By the way - trivia for the day - Johnny Weissmuller set a freestyle swimming record for the Univ of Michigan swimming pool that still stood when I was there in the early 60's. Anybody remember his swimming style with his head a yard out of the water?

I found the same thing with the new version, so I switched back within a few days. I also did their survey and let them know why I switched. Hopefully they will get it incorporated into the new version.
