if you are using photobucket to store images for posting in trad gang, and you have been using the upload image auto resize feature, IT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE NEW PHOTOBUCKET.

if you are relying on the phtobucket image upload auto resizing feature to set all your images for posting to 640 wide, we strongly suggest going back to the original (old) photobucket.

to revert back to the original old photobucket (that allows upload image auto resizing) click on "Switch back to the original photobucket" light blue link text found in the upper right hand part of the main photobucket screen.

after posting an image, you can check it's size by putting your mouse pointer on the image, right clicking on "view image infomation".

the first number of the image size is its width, and that should be 640 or less.

Thanks for the info, Rob. I noticed this earlier when I posted a pic that I tried to resize. The photo info on PB said it was narrow enough, but the photo on the post said otherwise.

The how and why of hunting is more important than the what, or the where, or with whom. In hunting - as in life - the joy is in the journey.

This happened to me as well. That seems to be fixed now though.

I was just having this problem this morning trying to post a pic. I switched back to the old photobucket then and all is good again (at least for now, till they changes things up on me).

that is why I'm still using the old bucket, in my mind it is way easier to use so I went back to the old one!

I never left the old Photobucket. They keep trying to get me to change but its too hard for me to learn new computer tricks so I'm staying with the old. It works just fine for me...except for the occasional hick-up.

Yep, still using the old photobucket too.  They sent me a survey this weekend around 40 questions long asking why I switched back to the old one.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I had a hard time posting pictures the last time I listed a bow.
How do you change back to the old photobucket?

Ray Hammond

That's why I went back to the old PB.  Works perfect !!

Either way, that's a great pic Roger! Brings back a lot or childhood memories.

Switched back....is this correct?
you can easily answer your question by putting your mouse point on the image, right click, select "view image info" and you will see that the image measures 768x1024.

the first number is all that matters and needs to be 640 or less.

so, no - that image is way too wide.

switching back to the old original photobucket - the one that used to auto resize all your uploaded images to 640 wide - will never resize any image you have uploaded with the new photobucket.

and therein lies the problem.

each one of those large images needs to be resized.  you can do it by logging into the old original photobucket, deleting those large images, and uploading them again from your computer.  if you have auto upload resize set to 640x480, yer good to go.

here again is the link topic on how to set up the old original photobucket for upload auto resizing ...

really sorry for all the problems with image sizing.  we been ambushed by photobucket, that's about it.  i hope they get their act together.

Almost all of my albums have been switched around or they are just missing the pictures on photo bucket.  I'll be finding a new photo service immediately.

That seems too big? My settings are correct. This is frustrating.
