I was looking for an easier way to weight a broadhead rather than trying to find a fishing weight the right size or cutting open a shotgun shell and using birdshot.  Do they make something like "plastic wood" that you could pinch off a little and mold it into the shape you want that would have the weight similar to lead?  Have any of ya'll ever heard of something like that?  I use wooden arrows.  Thanks for your input.

I don't know of anything moldable that would have the right weight.
If you have something to weigh the points with you could use the solid solder (roll). Once you know the right ammount Just cut off the right length.

SuperK,

You can weight out soft solder (50/50) to the weight you need, and drop into your socket on the broadhead.

As this solder melts at a low temp, you can melt it right in the Bheads socket. If you add a little flux, it will adhere to the Bhead socket, too.

Just be careful not to heat your broadhead any hotter than necessary to melt the solder, or melt the solder in a an old spoon, and pour it into the socket. (Make sure that there is NO moisture in that socket!) And scrub the flux residue off of the finished Bhead, cause it is very corrosive.

Check to be sure that the arrows taper will still fully seat in the socket.

Hope this helps you out.

If you shot a WW or Snuffer you can wind the solder around the inside of the blades.  It works so good you can hunt with them like that.
