Had a few hours to kill today since I didn't feel like sleeping after I got out of work this morning. Thought I would take a walk on a little WMA that has bunnies, deer and Pheasant. Turns out a few fellas have been hitting pretty hard the last few days so I didn't see much and I found one gut pile. Still a nice day out.

The one cool thing was that there were several Redtailed Hawks around. I happen to get these shots.

Thats some nice, thick brush. NY state lands dont have anything like that around here.

Cool, one of my favorite things to do just wander around and shoot arrows at nothing and everything.  Thanks for taking us along.  Great pics as well.

Izzy, at least half of the property is so thick only dogs can get through it. Fortunately they ran a brush hog through to make a few lanes in each field.

I love those guys!  We have a nest of them on our property and they come back every single year to breed.  I rescued a chick last year that fell out of the nest before being able to fly, took him to the local wild animal rehab, they nursed him til he was fit to be turned loose.

What nice a excursion you had!

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
