Here is the story.I am a foreman for a flooring company and we are doing a big hospital job. There is a lot of problems with the concrete on the job so its job meeting after job meeting.Owners and estimators calling me all day long, just seemed like one of those days when nothing was getting done and nothing could go right. So I am trying to get something done and my phone rings for about the 50th time today,I look and the number says its from GA.Well I dont know anyone in Ga so i answer and the lady is telling me I won,I cant hear who she is or what company she is calling from, because its so noisey on the construction site.I thought she said she was from some stove company so i tell her I am not interested and dont call me and I hang up.Well end of day I get in my truck and check my emails and there it is.A email from Big Jim,Jims wife Debbie sent the email saying she just wanted to make sure I understood she was not trying to sell me anything. And that my name was drawn for the Grand Prize of $600 towards a custom bow built by Big Jim.She wanted to be fair and make sure I understood what was going on.First thing that came to mind is WHAT AN IDIOT I am.So I called Debbie and apologized for my rude behavior and thanked her for emailing me.My wife said not to post this because I would look like more of an idiot. But I thought everyone should know what good people Jim and Debbie are.She didnt have to email me but she did.So again Debbie I am sorry for the rude behavior and thank you for the email. And also I am 42 years old and never won anything in my life. This could be my lucky bow,now to figure out what wood combo I want in my new Thunderchild.

You have my respect for posting your confession. IMO a lot of whats wrong in this great country is lack of taking responsibility for our mistakes.

A big Thank you to Debbie and Big Jim Archery for offering you grace for your transgression..

God bless all of you

That's funny! I hope I did not hang up on anybody trying to actually give me something! Lord knows I have had a thousand chances by now.

We all make mistakes, you handled it head on in a commendable fashion. Congrats on winning a fantastic prize.
Having done so much, with so little, for so long, I can now do anything with nothing.

Awesome story-  Now it's time to relax and spend some time drooling while looking at Big Jim's slideshow to help pick out wood combos.  Those bows rock.
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target

Matty

Yup. Good deal and good on you. Now what you should have said is " I'm not interested dont call me, call matty" he is!  Hahaha congrats to you and thanks to big jim for giving us all  who bought from him the opportunity.

Sounds to me like you responded the same way most anybody would have given the same circumstances, me included, just not everybody would have made amends like they should!! Good on you    Enjoy that bow and I think it's new name should be "Rude Behavior" just as a reminder! Haha

Now that Stykbow just named the bow for me,what wood combos would be good for a "Rude Behavior" TC?
