That's got to be the absolute best cover picture I can ever remember for Trad Trails. Congrats Bryan and even more, congrats on not just this one but ALL your accomplishments ... this story and this pict are just the tip of the iceberg.

Oh, and thanks as well goes to Dan Macut for all his hard work putting together every issue of Trad Trails. Dan is just a great guy ...

You guys are truely blessed, what adventure. Sharing this with each other as well as the rest of us is fuel for the soul. You guys must have some awesome private photos for your memories as well. I've never done anything remotely close to this kind of hunt. Very cool!

20 years ago it probably would have been the cover of GQ.
But MTB is worth waiting for.

Hey now, he still cleans up pretty nice...the rest of us have to bring formal attire to bear camp to compete    :D

Another great event MTB does (and Bryan is a great supporter of) is the Jamboree the last weekend of June.  It is the weekend AFTER Compton every year.  If folks wanted to stay and shoot the funnest, most realistic 2D and 3D courses around, and shoot in an uncrowded and relaxed enviornment, the MTB Jamboree is   IT!. You can shoot until your arms fall off, it is inexpensive, and it is a beautiful area; the grounds of the old Fred Bear Museum.  Free and shady camping too.  You could spend the week between events in the hundreds of miles of Blue Ribbon trout streams around Grayling.

Here is an OLD thread I did about one of the Jamborees.

Man, the time flies...that little kid has grown out of my shoes!

That jamboree sounds like a good time and it isn't all that far from here except that pond I'd have to go around.
I just about got myself convinced to join the MTB but if Bryan was to join the Wisconsin Traditional Archers that would seal the deal. I'd even autograph his first issue.

No doubt about it Chuck...Dan does a super job with the magazine and we are fortunate to have him as the editor

"Load of bull" is right Dillbilly...10 heavy loads to be exact!!

Whip – cover of GQ versus Traditional Trails?  Not even close...give me TT  :)

Greg – Deal!  Looks like you're the newest member of Michigan Traditional Bowhunters and I'm the newest member of Wisconsin Traditional Archers.  My membership application and check will be sent tomorrow to Kevin.  Does the membership come with a free wedge of cheese?  :)

Sure was great to see those picts Steve. That 2-D course is something else. I think it's the guys from Tomahawk Archers who do those targets every year and they sure do a whale of a job.

Thanks for sharing that thread!

This was definitely an adventure for them in Alaska. Well deserved and congratulations on the cover and story.

Alright Bryan my app is on the way. Sorry, no free cheese. But if you get the urge to put on a cheese hat and cheer for the Packers don't fight it. And the good news is you can start Saturday. YEAH!! GO PACK!!!

Great story in the Traditional Trails and Bryan is a great supporter of the organization.  I see him every year at the Jamboree in Grayling.  I haven't shared a camp with him, but he was in bear camp the week after me last year and the outfitter speaks highly of him.

As far as the "shoot" part of the Jamboree goes, it is my favorite.  The courses are great and the tradition of the place is special.  I often break out my 73 Super K for the shoot just because it feels good.  Maybe this year it will be a new Kodiak!
