[QB] That's the way to get the year started!  Congratulations!  What were you using for equipment?  Is there a story?

Bernie Bjorklund

Im a bad story teller. But I was using my first and only recurve 55 lbs sage samick.  Gold tip with 2 blade zwicky's.  I was in a big dead ceded tree. She gave me a 15 yd broadside shot around 5pm Saturday afternoon.
Still having to work on my shooting though.  I hit left and it went through her shoulder.

Great deer....do you really have snow in Arkansas?
Altiman we actually got almost a foot Christmas night. Very unusual to get that much. Seemed to have got the deer moving some.  It's not uncommon for us to get a couple snows a year. But they usualy are somewhere around 2-4 inches though

Better through the shoulder than getting pea soup out of the deal....Congrats!

Way to go Darrell!

I am proud of my "boy".  Darrell is my son-in-law.  He didn't know much about hunting until he came into the family seven years ago, but he has taken to it like a duck to water.  He is a good scout and knows what it takes to get close to deer.

I bought him that samick as a starter bow thinking we would see if he was serious about hunting traditional.  Now I don't think he wants to part with it.  He has killed three deer with it.

I think I am going to remame him to Two Arrows.  All three deer he has taken with his recurve have had a story and has taken to two arrows to get the job done.

Way to go! I bet she'll taste better than a tag too!
